AuthorHouse November Author Challenge

AuthorHouse November Author Challenge

Before we set this month’s Author Challenge, we reflect on what was a truly inspirational collection of October Challenge submissions. We asked you to give us your favorite literary quote, tell us who said it, and how it has inspired and influenced your writing.

We were certainly moved as we judged all of the entries, and it was fascinating to see how diverse the sources of our writing inspiration really are. But we had to pick a winner, so here are the honorable mentions first (you can read how these quotes inspire them here):

Chris Fotheringham
“I have attempted to capture the essence of my time.”

—Robert Penn Warren

Suzanne Blanchard Schmidt
“What lies behind us and what lies before us are small matters compared to what lies within us.”

—Ralph Waldo Emerson

And our congratulations go to our October Author Challenge winner:

Betty Russell

“You have plenty of courage, I am sure,” answered Oz. “All you need is confidence in yourself. There is no living thing that is not afraid when it faces danger. The true courage is in facing danger when you are afraid, and that kind of courage you have in plenty.”

—L. Frank Baum, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz

So on to this month’s challenge and the chance to feature your book’s cover on the official AuthorHouse Facebook Page cover image. Once again, the challenge will take place on the AuthorHouse Author’s Digest blog.

All the rules and instructions on how to enter the November Author Challenge will be included on the dedicated blog post, which you can visit here.  So here goes:
