Keith Ogorek to Discuss Self-Publishing on Book Expo America 2013 Panel

Author Solutions, Inc. (ASI), the world leader in indie book publishing, announced Wednesday that Keith Ogorek, senior vice president of corporate marketing, will join other publishing thought leaders on a panel about the affects of digital self-publishing on traditional publishers at Book Expo America 2013 in New York City. Titled “Self-Publishing: Disruptor or Defender of The Book Business?,” the panel will take place on May 31 at 2 p.m. ET in room 1E16 — East Hallway in the Javits Center.

Ogorek, who recently authored a white paper about the expansive choices in self-publishing titled “Four Paths to Publishing,” will be joined on the panel by James McQuivey, author of Digital Disruption; Christopher Kenneally, director of business development with the Copyright Clearance Center; and Angela James, executive editor at Carina Press. The group will discuss “the disruptive effects that the growth of self-publishing will have on traditional industry players and will seek to learn what drives established trade/literary authors to turn to various start-up players in e-book publishing.”
